Standing at the crossroads of pop music and soda pop, Brit Pop! simultaneously satiates the cultural thirst for cool sounds and cold drinks. The story of the British Invasion, in various incarnations, as told across sugary beverage packaging. Twist (open) and Shout!
Exhibited in Dependence Daze, an international collaboration between students at Central St. Martins College of Art & Design in London and the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. The notion of a pop cultural special relationship between the US and UK was explored through projects examining stereotypes, language, fears, sub-cultures and music.
